As EcoClaim closes out 2025, we are reflecting on a year defined by measurable momentum, stronger adoption across the claims supply chain, and practical tools that make sustainability easier to implement at the point of claim. From growing our certified contractor network to delivering record GHG diversion results, 2025 showed what’s possible when sustainability is embedded into everyday claims workflows and backed by consistent reporting.
As we close the books on 2025, I am incredibly proud of the momentum EcoClaim has built and the measurable impact we delivered together. This year was about turning sustainability into consistent action across the claims supply chain and proving that better outcomes are achievable when contractors, carriers, and partners align around a shared standard.
By the end of 2025, EcoClaim reached several major milestones:
• We surpassed 100 certified contractors and are approaching 200.
• 11,352 claims were processed with sustainability practices embedded.
• 5,057,235 kilograms of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions were diverted from landfill, a five times year-over-year increase from approximately 987,000 kilograms in 2024.
These results reflect the commitment of our contractor network, insurance partners, and everyone who chose to embed sustainability into day-to-day claims operations. Together, we continue to show that the low-carbon way and the low-cost way are compatible.
In 2025, we advanced our technology with the launch of Rebuild Better. This AI-enabled tool analyzes repair scopes to recommend lower-cost and lower-carbon product alternatives using Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). It delivers plain-language carbon reports at the click of a button, embedded directly in the claims workflow. Rebuild Better gives insurers and contractors the technology to raise the standard for resiliency in rebuilds. In 2026, a key focus is expanding Rebuild Better adoption so we can reduce emissions and improve rebuild resiliency at scale across more claims.
We also expanded our leadership in education and practical guidance. Through the Green Council, we convened industry leaders to share what works and strengthen collaboration on sustainable claims. We also grew our training resources, including expanded online access and French-language support, helping more teams apply sustainable practices with confidence.
To our partners and supporters: thank you for being part of this journey. Your leadership and participation are the force behind turning claims into climate action. As we look into 2026, our focus remains on expanding our reach, deepening our impact, and equipping partners with the tools to reduce emissions and costs. Together, our impact will continue to redefine what sustainability means for the insurance industry.
Warm regards,
Jodi Scarlett
