ROSS HUARTT

CHAIR

Ross Huartt is the President and Chief Executive Officer of MBC Group in addition to serving on its Board of Directors. He is an experienced and dynamic leader, leveraging his nearly 20 years of experience and driven by a desire to innovate to disrupt traditional engineering processes. His strategic vision and leadership has grown MBC Group from a single offering appraisal firm to a multi-disciplinary services powerhouse. Ross is an active member of the YPO, the Business Council of Alberta, frequently collaborating with public & private partners. He has been a featured speaker at events worldwide and has received numerous awards and accolades.​

JODI SCARLETT

CEO

Jodi has a deep knowledge of the construction, restoration and insurance industries having owned and operated a restoration business for 20+ years. She has received numerous accolades including W100 Top Female Entrepreneurs in Canada by Profit, Canadian Business and Chatelaine magazine for three consecutive years; Alberta Venture’s Fast Growth 50 and Chase Morgan’s Women 2 Watch. Jodi has a passion for sustainability and has led her organization through emissions reduction initiatives including an ISO 14001 environmental certification and a BMO Rad!cle Climate Smart certification.

Ian Stringer

CTO

Ian Stringer is an accomplished technology professional with over three decades of experience in the field, specializing in project management, data architecture and systems design. Ian’s degree in Computer Systems Operation and Management coupled with his entrepreneurial experience has laid the foundation for his career.

Ian’s technical skill set includes expertise in software development, database management, and system optimization. He has consistently delivered substantial value to the organizations he has served, including WestJet, Enmax Energy and Trans Canada Pipelines and AESO. Of particular note is Ian’s work at the AESO where he lead the Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP) program that created and implemented reliability standards for the Alberta electrical grid.

Outside of his professional life, Ian is an active member of his Calgary community, where he resides with his wife and three sons. He serves as a board member for the Ups and Downs Society, contributing to the creation of inclusive and supportive communities.

With a proven track record of technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and a dedication to innovation, Ian Stringer is exceptionally well-suited for a CTO role. His deep understanding of data architecture and systems design positions him as a valuable asset to guide organizations into the future of technology.

MAUREEN CURETON​

VP Climate & Sustainability

Maureen’s expertise is in sustainability, circular economy, and climate strategy. She was a Project Manager at Rocky Mountain Institute—a world-renowned ‘think tank’ on market-based solutions for sustainability, and since then Maureen’s developed strategy and operationalized climate and sustainability solutions for businesses ranging from start-up to multi-nationals. Her circular economy experience extends from product innovation using agriculture waste to guidelines for circularity in the arts sector. Maureen’s also worked with financial institutions, international development banks and other partners supporting entrepreneurs advancing sustainability, and she’s trained 350+ businesses to measure and manage their GhG emissions.
