Stephan Brochu, President — Synchor Recycling Inc.
Stephan Brochu is the founder of Razphalt, a company focused on practical solutions for recycling asphalt shingles and turning a difficult waste stream into usable material. Over the past decade, he has worked to develop systems that recover roofing waste and return it to productive use in infrastructure and industrial applications. His approach is grounded in being authentic, operationally focused, and results-driven, prioritizing real diversion and measurable outcomes over industry buzzwords. Today, Stephan’s focus is on expanding Razphalt’s model into new regions, bringing proven shingle recycling solutions to more markets across North America.
About Synchor Recycling Inc. & Razphalt: Imagining a cleaner future by recycling construction waste once destined for the landfill.
It is estimated that up to 1.25 million tonnes of asphalt shingle waste is produced in Canada annually. Synchor Recycling was started to help solve a major problem — an excess of construction debris in our landfills. Synchor recycles asphalt shingles, cedar shake, many varieties of wood, and hydrovac material, converting waste into reusable material. When you bring your mixed wood, asphalt shingles and hydrovac waste to Synchor, you can trust with certainty there will be ZERO waste. Synchor repurposes your materials into high-quality, lasting RaZphalt™ and recycles wood waste for stabilization, solidification and binding applications.
